Pellestrina. The island next to Venice. It represents an escape from my daily space. It is a strip of land between the waters, separating the sea from the lagoon. It is the wall that protects the Venetian lagoon from being inundated by the sea. It is the threshold between the sea and the lagoon and I am there, in the middle, at the limit between two spaces, between an inside and an outside.
