"emptying" and "gestureplace"
The work is a reproduction on a 1:1 scale of the skeleton of the ‘Gestureplace’ from which all of the painting work has been removed apart from one. It consists of the reproduction of the three archivers: the ‘Diarytheque’, the ‘Infinite Painting’ and the ‘Sedimentary’, which have been emptied of the works, plus a 60x50 cm ‘Sedimentation’.
The maximum compression of the artistic act is concentrated in a single work: the ‘Gestureplace’. Here, inside the ‘Emptying’, this condensation if reproduced in its bare bones, as if it were the skeletal representation of a thought.
On the one hand there is the sense of loss, a distancing, a retrocession that leads to a purged and ghostly vision, while on the other is an empty space, a container that anyone could potentially fill ideally with the stratification of their existence.
