Measuring with the body
There are four formats that I have identified. The sedimentation of colours has taken place for years on these specific measurements. They are the dimensions that I think reassume the characteristics of painting on a human scale.
18 x 16 cm: The palm of one’s hand.
The fragment of painting.
60 x 50 cm: The portrait.
The projection of the face.
110 x 90 cm: The half bust.
The projection of the half bust.
180 x 160 cm: The body.
The size that can contain the maximum width of my open arms.
