The space of the imprint of the ‘Sedimentary’ is the point where I paint the ‘Sedimentations’ one at a time in four sizes determined by the projection of the body. In this series of works I redefine that space through a perimeter that stresses the space of painting. The person standing in front of it finds themselves with their body in exactly the same position as mine when I was in the act of painting it.
The wooden frame leaning on the floor can frame an empty space or can have a ‘Sedimentation’ measuring 16 x 18 cm or 60 x 50 cm or 110 x 90 cm inside it.
