HOTEL LOCARNO WINDOW ROME
I have already mentioned this subject in the chapter “Writer (Matteo Nucci)” in “Encountering the other”, but I have placed it here to connect it to the theme of bringing one’s own colour out into the public space.
I am inside the window, a place that opens onto the exterior, where things can be seen by passers-by; the place where something is exhibited to the outside world and relates with the urban space. The city is a concentrated place of human experience.
This work is a tribute to Rome, the city as a symbol of stratification and memory. The five elements prompt a dialogue with themes such as historical sedimentation, archaeological sedimentation, and individual and collective memory, which are part of the history of Rome.
