PALAZZETTO TITO, FONDAZIONE BEVILACQUA LA MASA
You enter the exhibition through a symmetry, a doubling. You enter the central room and find yourself in front of a wall dominated by a large diptych made up of a purple painting and a green one. To the left of the purple painting a door leads into a room full of purple paintings and to the right of the green painting a door leads into a room full of green paintings. There are two other moments at the beginning and the end of the exhibition route: the diary room containing all the chromatic “diaries” from 2004 to 2006; and the “Paper-Diaries” room. Here all the 300 pieces of paper painted over the space of around eight years correspond exactly with the measurement of the wall and cover it entirely like a large mosaic. It is a mosaic of paintings rather than of glass.
