Stamps

The stamps have the function of stating the originality of the provenance of the documents or any other object or work I decide to stamp.
This set of 15 stamps is kept inside a base that has the shape and size on a 1:10 scale of the layout of the ‘Gestureplace’ and consist of five drawings in three different sizes. The handles are 3D scanned reproductions of me with the bowl in my hand.
The drawings represent the ‘Bowl’ in an essential way in relation to the acute angle of the ‘Gestureplace’ seen from relatively close up.
This symbol was created to symbolise my universe in a nutshell and to make it move, leave its context and go out into the world.
Every time it is stamped, the logo under the feet of the Maria-handle re-marks the position of the body that leaves a trace of its presence moving in the space.

STAMP DRAWINGS
This work has in turn produced another series called ‘Stamp Drawings’.
These symbols, created with the idea of summarising in a single sign the bowl and the space it contains, have also become the system used to mark the space of a sheet of paper. The sheet, which has the form of the ‘Gestureplace reproduced on a 1:10 scale, is on the one hand the means of imagining the physical and mental movements in my studio and on the other is transformed into an imaginary wider world in which my gesture can be made to fly, dance and flit about.
At the end of the route, at the end of the stamping, the drawing was touched with a finger dipped in colour in a place corresponding to one of the bowls as a way of fixing its movement.
