Staying amidst others. I place my diary alongside that of others. My diary placed alongside lots of other diaries, a life in the midst of other lives. There are diaries by various authors. Book covers and videos of published diaries taken from my library and from my parent’s library. They range from the intimate diary, the travel diary, the war diary, the logbook, the secret diary and the one conceived for publication which in some cases is expressed as a work of art, before arriving at the idea of a diary that corresponds to the artist’s total corpus of work.
