The paint coming away in a handful of paintings provided the stimulus for carrying out a gesture that comes from the idea of covering, hiding and eliminating a wound. The series of paintings ‘in two times’ (between 2001 and 2004) were created in two different acts with years passing between them. A painting is created to be a certain image and it then becomes another through a new layer of colour.
