# 23.02
Created
Existing, created works.
Fortunately, this definition refers to the majority of works. It means that most of the visions have managed to come to light. However, this does not mean that these works cannot change status over time. A ‘created’ work could become an ‘altered’ work, for example, if there happened to be an agent that could change its nature. Or it could be defined as ‘no longer extant’ if at some point it should disappear from the face of the earth.
The dating refers to the moment in which the work is created in reality. (It should be remembered that before this there may have been a long gestation period which is not taken into consideration in the date given. Often, many years might need to pass before making a work.)
Among these works are also those that for a short or long period were ‘in progress’, but which at a certain point were finished. In these cases, the date refers to the moment of completion and only in the title is the date of the beginning and the end of the work given.
I am giving an example here to represent all of the works: a painting from the ‘Sedimentation’ series, which – despite being part of a continuous process – is finished as a completed work every time.
