The origin of the world

Work description and interpretation
This work comes from the period at high school when I was trying to reflect on the origins of things. A little story I wrote and its visual translation. The imagination is a meeting of elements: the sky, the earth and the sea, which create the beginning of the world.

The Origin of the World
At the beginning of the history of the world, the universe was completely black and cloaked in an eternal night, until one day a yellow light appeared that released a powerful heat: the sun. Feeling lonely, it used all its strength to make the sea appear. From their union plants, fields and grass were born which started singing and dancing to make their parents’ life more pleasant. Suddenly, a red energy – fire – appeared, which burned all those plants, fields and stalks of grass, which were suffocated by its supremacy. At this point there remained a handful of plants, not many fields and a few stalks of grass, which grew bored and asked their protector – fire – and their parents – the sea and the sun – to generate new companions: flowers and fruits. However, they all realised that they were disorganised. So they pooled their abilities to create a new power that would sustain them: the earth.
