The body moves upwards and downwards

subtitle

Black and white

Work description and interpretation
The maximum width of the arm’s movement determines a space that is sometimes semicircular and sometimes circular. Skin to skin. It is almost as if I am always trying to put myself in front of the space. Then the body starts to move, to walk and to climb up the stairs and tries to re-determine a frontal position each time.
Series description and interpretation
Whirlpools
It is a space that closes in on itself. There is a gestural nature that leads towards the centre of the painting, a centripetal movement: a vortex.
The Gestures are always closed on four sides. The vortex takes us inside the pictorial space.
