Stratification with rodocrosite (pink and dark pink)

A piece of rodocrosite next to a stratification of plasticine colours. Standing on a wooden base painted of the color of the last layer of plasticine. Pink again. While I am working on the diptych for Testori, even the surface of Plasticine is permeated with this colour. A stratified painting: layers of Plasticine, of substance-colour spread over the arc of about a year. It is a fragment of painting, next to a piece of rhodochrosite. The time of painting, a human time, the time of life in relation to geological time: two inexorable long times.

Stratifications with stones
The stones are chosen to represent the other time: geological time. And they are always placed alongside one of my stratifications of coloured Plasticine. One colour a day is sedimented one on top of the other. A stratified painting, a fragment of painting is placed next to a piece of stone. The time of the painting, a human time, the time of life in relation to the time of the world.
