Overturning and suspension

The residue of the substance that the Cartiera Favini paper mill sent me for the work “Una linea del tempo” (2016) was added to a cylindrical glass container a little at a time over a year and a half. The process was speeded up through the use of a dehumidifier. The object was then turned upside down giving the sense of time turned on its head. The sedimentation that formed at the bottom of the container here looks suspended while going against the force of gravity.
