Work description and interpretation
The photographic reproduction of the sludge, the substance that forms over the years at the bottom of the paintbrush holder, is enlarged and reproduced many times until it covers an entire room. We are small at the centre and it is as though we have also become part of the accumulation of the residue of the painterly gesture. It can also be used as wallpaper, as the background for hanging paintings or prints.
