Shrunken Expanse-coring

The ‘Coring’ is the disproportionate enlargement of a microscopic fragment extracted from the ‘Infinite Painting’ that shows the stratification of the paint over the years. The print has been transformed into wallpaper to cover an entire space that we insert our bodies into to look at the heart of the painterly substance. In this work, the space has been shrunk to a 1:10 scale.
The shell, the room that is being referred to, is the portion of my studio on the ground floor where I work with the substance.
