Series description and interpretation
Waters Panels
All the images of the “Waters” taken over the years create a whole consisting of various parts. Each single part contains the photos taken over the course of one year every time I enter my studio in that period of time. The format of each print is the size of the portion of reality that I see framed in my camera every day. The photos of the “Waters” are set out against a background “Mud”, which is not only the substance formed in the paintbrush holder but is also a reference to the layer formed on the lagoon bed. The space of the image is subdivided into 365 parts, in other words the number of days that make up a year. The part at the top with the images of the water is the part that covers the days of work; the mud-coloured part below represents the days I did not spend in the studio.
